Auto-categorization
Piastro analyzes the description of each transaction and automatically assigns a category (food, transport, entertainment…). You can correct it and create rules for next time.
How does it work?
- Piastro extracts keywords from the bank description.
- A lightweight model compares these keywords against a rules base.
- The most likely category is automatically assigned.
- You can correct the category — Piastro learns from your corrections.
Categorization examples
| Bank description | Assigned category |
|---|---|
AMAZON EU SARL | Online shopping |
VIA RAIL CANADA | Transport |
METRO GROCERY | Groceries |
